Sabyasachi’s ‘Bengale Tigris’ collection was created exclusively for Nilaya Anthology, drawing on the Bengal tiger and the landscape of the Sundarbans. Rendered in fine bone china and detailed with 24-carat gold, the coffee and sugar pots, milk creamer and coffee cups and saucers carry hand-painted scenography by artists of the Sabyasachi Art Foundation. Its visual language looks to vintage tableware once found in the grand homes of old Calcutta, recast through Sabyasachi’s distinctive approach to pattern and ornament.
